Top Three Bedtime Stories for Kids

"A Bedtime Story" by Mem Fox: This is also a children's classic by the famous Mem Fox who is known for her lovely children's books. This is a story about little Polly and her Bed Rabbit. Polly must do all of the regular bedtime rituals (get a drink, brush her teeth, use the bathroom) before mom and dad will tuck her in and read her and Bed Rabbit a book. This is also a book that children will relate to at bedtime. The pictures are bright and fun to look at.

"Happy Birthday Moon" by Frank Asch: This is a delightful book about a sweet bear. He decides he would like to give the moon a birthday present; first, he must find out when the moon's birthday is. So he gets as close to the moon as he can by climbing up a mountain and asks the moon "when is your birthday?" Little Bear's echo replies by asking, "when is your birthday?" so Bear believes the moon is talking with him. The exchange between bear and the moon is sweet and fun, and children will most likely pick up on the idiosyncrasies in the story. It is also a story about the moon, which most definitely sets the mood for bedtime.

The beauty of these three mentioned stories is that they will be enjoyed by both boys and girls, which works well for families with a mix of children.
