Fun Family Vacation Ideas
It's that time of the year again, the much needed family vacation. Getting your mind off of life's worries and enjoying time as a family is something most people long for. But where do you go this year? Here is some suggestions if your family is wanting to try something new.
Theme Parks
Disneyland is one of the most famous theme parks of all time. Most people have been there, but if your family hasn't, it's a must on our list. Disneyland is a great place for young families. Kids love it there because of all the unique themes and attractions. They actually get to see their favorite characters up close and personal. They also have great souvenirs that your children will cherish for years. However, if your children are older Disneyland may be to childish for them.
Six flags is more for older adults, but also has a kid section as well. Six flags is for families who are looking for more of a thrill as opposed to child theme parks like Disney. Whichever park you choose they both are definitely a must for all families.
Camping
If money is tight the year you choose to go, plan a trip that relatively cheap. Bring out the tents and pack the coolers. There are thousands of campgrounds around the country. Pick one that isn't to close to your home so it feels more like a vacation.
White Water Rafting
This option is obviously for older families with teenager's and young adults. If your family is more adventurous and looking for a good time, call a river rafting company and get some quotes. You could even combine camping with white river rafting.
Road Trip To Certain Areas
Rent a motor home and take a detailed planned trip to certain areas. This could be a good way to see a bit of the country and also visit certain landmarks according to your desire. There are hundreds of awesome places you can visit which will be suited for every member of the family. Renting a motor home will also save money in the long run because you won't have book multiple hotels.
Nearby Lake
If your family vacation happens to be in the summer, going to the lake for a week can be a lot of fun. Depending on your finances renting a houseboat may not be a realistic option. You can stay in a tent on the beach will also be a good idea. Or even book a hotel close by. One fun activity you can do is rent a boat or jet ski's. Even for the small kids getting pulled on a tube behind a boat is very fun.
